About Us

My name is Shannon Smith, owner of Encore Property Management. I entered the career of property management in February 1995, obtained my license as a Designated Property Manager in April 1996 at the forming of Central Management LLC in Redmond. I sold Central Management LLC in June 2002 at the size of over 578 properties. At that time, my mother and business partner was looking to retire and I ventured into another small business.

Up on the closing of my former company, Central Management LLC in February 2004, I found I missed the challenge and rewards of caring for others investments. I reinstated my designated licensing, completed all available educational classes and formed Encore Property Management. I am excited at the opportunity once again to conduct good values in Property Management while learning from past experience and the education and guidance offered in this business.

It is my strong belief that property management must be a serious commitment that is handled personally and professionally with dedication, education and experience. I attend all available education classes and seminars, as laws change and new implementations take place. I am committed to remaining a small, independent business, dedicated to more complete, personal and controlled, full service property management.

Aside from training and continued education, we are members of various local community events, Central Oregon Rental Housing Association, Multifamily Housing Association, Networking and work closely with the Central Oregon Regional Housing Authority.

I do not charge setup/startup fees, re-rent fees, vacancy fees or such. I work solely on commission of gross rents received by the property. I screen perspective residents thoroughly, prepare the most updated contractual documents, inspect as necessary, provide detailed, timely accounting, instigate and follow up with repair issues to protect and provide good residency.

Our range of service is much more extensive than outlined and we would appreciate the opportunity to discuss them personally. We pride ourselves in operating specifically to the needs of each individual property and owner. We feel this is what "service" is all about.
